Mike’s Tire and Automotive invited the community in on Saturday, September 20 to show its appreciation for 60 years of great customers and introduce the new owner, Jimmy Guy.
While a part of the Mike’s team since 1980 and Vice President since 2003, Guy took over full ownership earlier this summer.
“We have a long tradition of being focused on taking care of our customers and providing great service,” Guy said. “They have always been loyal to the shop and we wanted to take this chance to say thank you.”
Founded in 1954, Mike’s has been serving the community for 60 years. For much of the shop’s history, the focus was on offering the best service in tires and alignments. The shop moved locations in 1994 and began offering enhanced automotive services that, today, include both diesel and import services.
Mike’s is a family affair for Guy – his son, wife, and mother-in-law all work at the shop – and the open house was no different. Guy’s wife, Michelle, provided the barbeque and mother, Emma Lou, manned the information table.
The event included prizes and giveaways, a corn hole tournament, face painting, and multiple vendors on sire including Snap On, BG Products, Weather’s Truck Accessories, and Justice Truck Supplies.
Mike’s Tire and Automotive proudly features some of the highest rated technicians in the region, an import vehicle specialist and state of the art equipment. Services include alignments, brake service and repair, computer diagnostics, suspension, shocks and struts, oil changes, scheduled maintenance and state inspections. Mike’s Tire and Automotive also offers a shuttle service.
“Thanks to everyone who has been a part of the Mike’s family over the years,” Guy said. “We could not have had this type of success without the support of our customers.”
